EU sovereignty

Every Komputo job runs inside EU jurisdiction. This is a hard filter applied before placement scoring, not a preference.

The scorer removes any provider region outside the EU before it ranks options on price and carbon. A job can never be placed outside the EU, regardless of policy.

Some data centers sit physically in the EU but are operated by US-owned firms, which can expose them to the US CLOUD Act. Setting exclude_us_owned: true narrows placement to EU-sovereign operators only. If no EU-sovereign provider has the requested resource, Komputo tells you rather than silently relaxing the rule.

Each completed job’s receipt carries an EU residency attestation, so you can prove where the work ran for audit and CSRD reporting.
